FINNISH SAUNA
Finnish sauna treatments have their roots in traditional thermal baths used in Finland. In Finnish houses you can find special, wood-lined or wooden rooms where you can use high temperature 2-3 times a week to improve your well-being, health and immune system.
In ROJST Mud Forest, we offer you a Finnish sauna with aromatherapy, which will improve your condition and provide additional impressions during your stay. We encourage you to use the sauna as a complement to a healthy rest, which may also include bicycle trips around the area or our mud baths. There are many attractions to choose from, and when combined, they guarantee comprehensive regeneration for both the spirit and the body.

Instructions for using the sauna
How to properly and safely use the Finnish sauna?
-
You cannot enter the sauna hungry or with a full stomach.
-
Before entering the sauna, you should thoroughly wash and wipe dry. All cosmetics applied to the body make it difficult to sweat out. Jewelry should be removed.
-
We use the sauna naked, wrapping ourselves only with a towel. We do not enter the sauna wearing shoes.
-
The sauna session should begin with the benches below. It is best to lie down on the bench so that your whole body is on the same level. The position should be comfortable, allowing you to completely relax. After a few minutes, we can change to a higher bench where it is warmer. A sauna bath should not last longer than 30-40 minutes in three portions of 12-15 minutes with 6-12 minutes breaks for a cold bath.
-
After getting up from a lying position, you should wait 1-2 minutes in a sitting position to prevent the sudden drainage of blood from the brain (which may result in fainting).
-
The shower should be taken alternately with hot and cold water, starting from head to toe. An alternating shower after a hot session in the sauna improves our circulation and strengthens the body's immune system. The cold hardening of the body after the Finnish sauna treatment improves the blood supply to the body, closes dilated blood vessels, and restores the body overheated in the sauna to the correct temperature. During cold hydrotherapy treatments, chills may appear, and the cooling of the body should take place gradually, from the feet and hands up the limbs, then cold water is poured over the neck, torso and face. Full immersion in cool water can only take place after the body has cooled down gradually, so as not to cause shock caused by a sudden temperature difference.
-
You should also consume moderate amounts of drinks to replenish the water and mineral deficiencies lost during perspiration.
-
For additional skin congestion, you can use birch brushes with which you lightly hit the body.
-
Avoid loud conversations and laughter during the sauna session to keep the atmosphere calm and relaxing.
-
After leaving the sauna, we should lie down and rest for about 15 minutes.
